Volunteers
Are you business and community-minded? Would you like to contribute to the well-being of your community and region? Do you live in rural Atlantic Canada? If so, we may have an opportunity for you!
CBDCs seek community and business-minded people to serve on their Board of Directors.
About Us.
CBDCs offer loans, training, and advice to small businesses throughout rural Atlantic Canada. We support businesses in all sectors and throughout the rural Atlantic region. We contribute to vibrant and prosperous communities by supporting business development, growth, and success.
Our Volunteer Board.
Our volunteer board is key to our success. They have deep knowledge of the local business environment and their communities. Investment decisions are made locally by our independent Board of Directors. As a volunteer director, you will be part of a team that directly impacts your community by supporting business development and rural job creation. Boards typically meet monthly at the respective CBDC head office (virtual attendance may be available).
If you live rural Atlantic Canada, and want to give back to your community, and have an interest in supporting local businesses, we encourage you to reach out to the CBDC closest to the region you reside in and inquire about board positions.
We encourage individuals with strong community connections and personal experience as an entrepreneur to consider becoming a volunteer. You can contribute to the health and vibrancy of our region by sharing your time and skills as a member of our Board.
