The CBDCs in Atlantic Canada are dedicating in excess of $5 million in direct financial relief to the small business clients we serve to support the fight against COVID-19.
In these unusual circumstances, CBDCs in Atlantic Canada – your community-based, grassroots not-for-profit organizations – have decided to absorb some of the financial hardship that our business loan clients are experiencing.
With the progression of COVID-19, CBDC Blue Water employees will begin working remotely and limiting most, if not all personal contact with clients.

As the world continues to be impacted by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) we are seeing individuals, countries and markets affected; and increasingly these impacts have moved into the Atlantic provinces.
Located in the heart of Tignish, PE Shirley’s Café was established in 1991 as a family business. Over the years, Shirley approached CBDC West Prince Ventures for financing and training, and has found these resources to be invaluable to the growth and overall strength of her business.

A&K Candy Boutique is a candy bouquet business owned and operated by partners Alyssa Barrett and Karlie Squires and has been in operation since May of 2016.
Cody Green of Carbonar started his business Strung Out “upcycled strings for rings and things” just three months ago. Strung Out is a business that up-cycles guitar strings and makes them into rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants, chokers etc.

CBDC Central is seeking a dynamic person to deliver the Youth Ventures Program pending funding approval. The program involves promoting and fostering entrepreneurship among youth from the Exploits Valley District.
CBDC Eastern Initiatives is seeking a dynamic person to deliver the position of Youth Ventures Coordinator for the summer of 2017. Youth Ventures is a 16 week program operating from May to August which fosters and supports student entrepreneurship.
CBDC EMERALD is seeking a dynamic person to deliver the Youth Ventures Program pending funding approval. The program involves promoting and fostering entrepreneurship among youth from the Baie Verte and Green Bay District.
CBDC Burin Peninsula is seeking a dynamic person to deliver the anticipated position of Youth Ventures Coordinator for the summer of 2017. Youth Ventures is a 16 week program operating from May to August which fosters and supports student entrepreneurship in the Burin Peninsula region.
The intent of this award is to recognize an entrepreneur in one category on a regional level whose outstanding accomplishment in their business and personal endeavors has contributed to the well-being of the residents of New Brunswick, as well as, to the economic welfare of their own community.
