Taste Delivery NL wants to pick you up for a special night out! The luxury limousine service promises to plan a custom tour just for you and your friends, to make transportation easy on your wedding day, or to make that concert or special event safe, responsible, and stylish!  

Taste Delivery NL owner Evan Whalen has been behind the wheel of the venture since 2023 when he recognized a lack of luxury transportation options in Newfoundland and Labrador.  

“The idea for my business originated during my time living in Australia, where I worked with companies like Tipsy Tours and Kendor Distillery. I fell in love with their operations and the unique experiences they provided,” Evan says. “Our goal is to deliver a memorable, comfortable, and stylish experience.” 

While there are other transportation companies offering wedding limos or even tours of local historic sites, Taste Delivery NL offers something a little different, Evan says. The company has a number of structured tours, including one which features local craft breweries. In addition, the luxury transportation company offers shuttle services to concerts like Iceberg Alley and the Churchill Park Festival. Of course you can also structure your own custom tours too, he explains.  

“My favourite part about owning my own business is … sitting together, brainstorming ways to grow and expand the business, and sharing a vision for the future is incredibly motivating. The hope that we can all pursue this full-time makes the journey even more rewarding,” Evan says.  

Evan is so proud to contribute to the larger tourism industry, while supporting and partnering with other local businesses.   

“At the same time, it gives me the chance to build a future for my family - creating something lasting that we can all be proud of,” he says. “It’s about combining passion and purpose to make a difference while working toward long-term goals.” 

Last year when Evan was gassing up his new business, he was renting and saving up to purchase a fleet of vehicles when he met with a business advisor at CBDC Cabot and learned about the CBDC Youth Loan program, which supports young entrepreneurs with the capital expenses related to starting a business.
