The NB Association of CBDCs offers services to women entrepreneurs thanks to the financial support of Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) through the Women in Business Initiative (WBI) program. There are five development officers who work specifically with women business owners in the community. They provide one-on-one support to women living in both rural and urban areas. The development officers ensure that women business owners have the products and services they need to move their business forward. The five development officers in New Brunswick help women business owners in their region to: • Access expert business advice, information, mentorship and support • Acquire information on financing • Identify ways to enhance their innovation and export capacity • Obtain training, professional development and networking opportunities Women are the new face of entrepreneurship and are a thriving force in New Brunswick’s economy.
