We are the Atlantic Association of Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs), a network of autonomous, not-for-profit organizations that work with all levels of government and the private sector to meet the needs of small business.
In rural Atlantic Canada there are 41 Corporations dedicated to the development of small business and job creation. CBDCs have been in operation for over 30 years.

Seed Capital Program The Seed Capital Program provides loans, with flexible interest and repayment terms, to help start, expand or improve a small business. The Program also provides up to $2,000 for specialized training and business counselling (Subject to Availability of funds).
Self Employment Benefit Program
The Self Employment Benefits (SEB) Program allows participants to continue to receive their Employment Insurance Benefits while they are getting their business up and running.
